Our Story

Katherene is the owner of Tough Enough Cleaning. She was born in Loma Linda CA, but spent some of her childhood in Ontario Oregon where her dad ran a hotel. She moved back to the Central Coast at the age of seven. Katherene is a single mother of three amazing children, and still manages to start and run this business alone! She has been cleaning the house since she was sixteen years old and has accumulated a lot of knowledge in that time. While working with other cleaning companies she noticed a high demand for quality house cleaners with integrity. She noticed people only seemed to be in it for the money, but quality disappeared completely. That's when She started Tough Enough Cleaning! Katherene based T.E.C. on old-fashioned values and quality, not quantity. She started hiring hand-picked employees and training every one of them herself. Before she knew it, clients wanted her to clean construction sites and handle janitorial work for their businesses! Five years ago she decided to add both construction clean up and janitorial to the menu, and her clients loved it! Katherene is not you're typical boss (never in the office, hardly to be seen at the job site) you usually find her right next to her employees working as hard as anyone in her employ because believes in leadership by example. She wouldn't have it any other way!
